Autumn Production 2008 - "A Streetcar Named Desire" by Tennessee Williams



"A Streetcar Named Desire" was written in 1947 by American playwright Tennessee Williams for which he received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1948. The story of gentility versus brutishness and the conflict brought about when different worlds collide, putting love and loyalty to the test, is one that has thrilled audiences worldwide for the best part of sixty years.
